GOLD!!!

Today is a big day!  We achieved our goal and received a GOLD medal today at the perinatologist!  Hooray!  I am 36 weeks pregnant today and am so relieved to have reached such an awesome milestone.  If the babies were to be born today, the biggest concerns would be related to blood sugar and body temperature.  I can handle that.  :)

They did an ultrasound to check the babies' growth and to do another biophysical profile (bpp).  The bpp went very well and both babies were very active.  Baby A is measuring quite small (4lbs 9oz) and is only in the 9th percentile for size.  Baby B is a total rock star and is measuring 5 lbs 13 oz (bigger than Lia was a birth!) and is in the 49th percentile.  The doctor is a little concerned about Baby A since there was a stall in her growth from the last scan until now (32 weeks to 36 weeks) and wants to keep a close eye on her.  He looked at blood flow through the placenta and the cord and all of that looks great.  We go back on Friday to look at her again and see how everything is going.

Here is a picture of the belly from Thursday last week (35 weeks 5 days).

Excited to meet these little girls SOON!!
