First off, Lia has found her new love - table food. She has come to hate (ie: hit the spoon away and cry) any type of baby food mush. This has made feeding time good on one hand and really difficult on another. I have no idea if she is eating enough since I have no way to measure exactly how much food actually makes the long trip from the tray, to her hand, and finally to her mouth (occasionally her eye, chin, cheek, neck, hair, etc). The other thing is preparation - it takes a LONG time to cut up every little blueberry that could potentially be a choking hazard to a young baby with no teeth... Regardless, it has been fun to see her enjoy herself fully at each meal time.
On the menu today: Spinach & Cheese Ravioli, Blueberries, Pears, Carrots, and Green Beans - this kid eats better than I do!!
The other newest thing is how independent and curious this little one is! She is ALL OVER THE PLACE! Her current favorite things are: finding impossibly tiny things to put her mouth, eating dog food, choking on dog food, pulling cords out of sockets, crawling all over Sydney, opening cabinets and drawers (shout out to my dad who added latches to our cabinets!), pulling ALL of the toys out of her toy basket, pulling all the DVDs out of the entertainment center.... you get the idea...
