Yesterday Todd and I took advantage of a surprise beautiful day (it stormed all night) and took an afternoon trip downtown to hang out. We ended up lazing around on the Capitol lawn and got some really great pictures. Todd and I became experts at the self portrait photography pre-Lillia and have always had a really great time setting up the tripod and taking some pictures with the remote control shutter button. We figured - out much harder could it be with a baby? Well, really really hard... We tried everything to get her to look at the camera and all she was interested in were all the birds, squirrels, sticks, and grass that surrounded us. Needless to say we had a slightly uncooperative baby - not because she was grumpy - just because she had better things to do.
We ended up getting some pretty great pictures and just played the odds - out of 568 pictures, at least a few have to be good right? We ended up with about 100 keepers, thankfully. :)
Here are a few of my favorites - you can see all 100 keepers here: https://picasaweb.google.com/103749123983642764138/CapitolVisit?authkey=Gv1sRgCIarzpvKxNfILw
